People have been taught that talking about money is rude. Ignore them. Start talking about money. Why? Because it’s the best way to learn about money. And you need to make learning about money a life long goal. Never stop. Learn all you can about it – if you want to be come wealthy.
Educate yourself:
- Read books
- Read blogs
- Listen to podcasts
- Talk to successful folks
- Take classes
Evaluate advisors cautiously & continuously:
- Have they don’t what they are advising?
- Do they have your best interest @ heart?
- Are they paid for their advice?
- How are they paid?
- Do they have a reason to care outside of their own self interest?
Education is a life long journey. Personal finance education is even more so. I would argue that building wealth is the most widely studied subject in the world… in the history of the world. The problem is that most don’t view it as a study topic worth devoting time and energy to. But if you view yourself as a business, you will do just that. Remember. You are a business. So do what businesses do!
